I enjoy integrating story, Jungian therapy and dreamwork with Somatic Experiencing and NARM (Neuro-affective Relational Model)  I have a MA in Folklore and Mythology and find that traditional stories and somatic work have a special resonance.  Helping individuals use somatic work to integrate strong intuitive and peak experiences has been an inspiring part of my work.  In addition, I work with developmental trauma, disaster response, and high impact trauma such as motor vehicle accidents, falls, and sport-related accidents.   I lived overseas in Beijing, China from 2003 - 2014 and was the Department Chair of The Psychological Health Center at Beijing United Family Hospital for 10 of those years.  I have been studying SE since 2008 and from 2008-2010 directed the China Earthquake Relief Project which brought over 30 Somatic Experiencing Practitioners to China to assist after the 2008 Sichuan Earthquake.

When not working I enjoy skiing, biking, walking my dog, exploring new places on the planet with my spouse, and reading,  I find that poetry and literature increase my understanding of the human condition.  My practice of therapy has been strongly influenced by the work of Peter Levine, Laurence Heller, Iain McGilchrist, Donald Kalsched, and Marian Dunlea.
